Dato Dr. Shek Daud bin Abdul Hamid
CHAIRMAN
Dato Dr. Shek was elected to the board on 29th September 2019 and has served as Chairman since then. A medical doctor by profession, he completed his studies in India before joining the government service at Penang General Hospital. Throughout his career, he held various positions across the country until his retirement in 2009. After retiring, he established his own private practice, which he continues to operate in Penang. Actively involved in social work, he also serves as the Chairman of the Waqf Board and the Nurul Islam Association. His extensive experience has been instrumental in the growth of KOPRIMAS.
Mr. Asohan M. Arunasalam
SECRETARY
Elected to the board on 22nd September 2018, Mr.Asohan has served as Secretary since that day. Holding a Diploma in Human Resources, he began his career at Koperasi Konsumer Malaysia Berhad, where he rose to the position of Branch Manager. Over his twenty-year tenure, he held various management roles within the co-operative. Leveraging his extensive experience, he transitioned into consultancy work and currently serves as an active consultant for three cooperatives: Koperasi Gemilang Malaysia Berhad, Koperasi Maju Jaya, and Koperasi Serbaguna Partanian Perusahaan Kemajuan Berhad. His efforts have been instrumental in turning KOPRIMAS around from its challenging financial situation, and he continues to guide it to new heights.
En Zulkefli bin Awang
TREASURER
En. Zulkefli was elected to the board on 29th September 2019 and assumed the role of Treasurer in May 2020. He is also a member of the Loan Committee. He holds a Diploma in Management from a local university and has over 20 years of experience in the retail and consumer trade. His practical, hands-on experience has been invaluable in guiding the daily activities of KOPRIMAS.

Dr. Noor Hisham bin Mohd Haron
Dr. Noor Hisham came on board on 29th September 2019. A veterinary doctor by profession, he has served the government in various capacities across the country and currently holds the position of Senior Director in the Veterinary Department in Putrajaya. His expertise has been instrumental in guiding KOPRIMAS on compliance with government rules and regulations. Given that KOPRIMAS primarily serves government employees, his contributions have brought immense value to the organisation.
Mr. Visvanathan A/L Neelamaygan
Elected to the board on 22nd September 2018, Mr. Visvanathan continues to serve as a board member. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Phoenix International University in New Zealand. Mr. Visvanathan began his career at Maybank, then moved to Public Bank, and later joined CIMB Bank before resigning to pursue his own interests. With over 25 years of experience in the banking industry, he now operates a financial consultancy firm based in Ipoh. His extensive banking knowledge has been a valuable asset in the administration of KOPRIMAS.
Mr. Giritheren Ranganathan
Appointed to the board on 30th August 2020, Mr. Giritheren holds a degree in Accounting from Monash University. He took over the management of his family’s feedlot business, which operates in Bidor, Perak, and Kluang, Johor in 2010. While Mr Giritheren continues to manage the family business, he actively serves on the board in a non independent capacity.
Pn Siti Rus Salmiah Bt Omar
Pn Siti was elected to the board on 29th September 2019. She holds a Diploma in Management and is currently employed as an Administration Manager at a livestock company, where she has worked for the past 25 years. Pn Siti’s background in management and her deep understanding of the industry contribute significantly to the board’s strategic discussions and decision-making processes.
